A. Background about Apple’s history
1. The legal name of the organization is Apple Inc. It is a multinational

corporation located in Cupertino, California.
Apple has 451 stores open in 16 countries and an online store functioning in
39 countries. Apple’s employees go through intensive training to meet its’
company’s standards and organizational culture. They go through an extensive
process of training to make sure their employees represent their company in a
good lighting. Furthermore, it is beneficial for Apple to develop cultural
sensitivity. They operate in countries that are of low context, high context,
low contact, high contact, monochronic, and polychronic. In other countries,
Apple’s retail stores are carefully set up in areas that are urban and
technologically forward. For instance, there are flagship stores located in
Barcelona, Beijing, Tokyo, Shanghai, and London. These are large cities that
are technologically advanced and are also more liberal. It is important that
Apple places these stores in areas like these because they foster more
innovation and tourism. Furthermore, in these areas there is a greater likely
hood of highly educated individuals to whom these products are geared
towards. These individuals will most likely want a product that is
technologically forward and is of Western origin. When communicating in
these countries, it is important to establish long term relationships and be less
explicit.
B. Executive summary (brief statement of your key recommendations and
summary of your underlying logic);
This paper will focus on the scope of Apple’s international operations, the
structure and the modes of entry currently in use. It will also include an
analysis of the key political, economic, legal and technological environments
of Apple Inc. following that; will be the organizations cultural context and
Analysis of the organization’s sustainability initiatives and social
responsibility. Furthermore, it will touch on the organization’s global human
resources and some key SWOT factors. After looking at this data in great
detail, well supported recommendations will be given.

BODY
A. Explanation of the scope of the organization’s international operations, the
organizational structure, and the modes of entry currently in use.
When Jobs was the head of Apple Inc., the structure was very conservative in
terms of governance. It was high power distance, where Jobs was the head of
all operations and all ideas flowed from him. He served as the backbone of the
company and held Apple together. There are many vice presidents on the
board, which shows that Jobs’ management structure is Top-Down.
B. Analysis of the key political, economic, legal and technological environments.
1. Legal Environment:
-Apple using Google maps: cannot do without them because it will
negatively impact their business

After Jobs’ passed away, Tim Cook was appointed CEO. Cook made many
changes to the organization’s culture. He introduced a program to match employee
contribution with those of nonprofit organizations. Furthermore, the culture consists
of less power distance than when Jobs’ was in office. This lets the information flow
from Cook to all employees better as opposed to them not knowing any insider
information from management. This as a result, has made employees feel that they
contribute to the team.
D. Analysis of the organization’s sustainability initiatives and social
responsibility.
Taking responsibility as a large company and be one of the first companies to
implement going green. As a result, other companies follow in footsteps
